    Lost Headunit Remote Control :(

I just called Clarion and talked with their parts supplier. Apparently losing remotes is common since I hit the menu buttons on the phone directly to remote replacements LOL. They are going to email me with price and info. Thanks caraudio.com! You have helped another member to success!

    Lost Headunit Remote Control :(

Yeah Clarion has 1 remote that is default for all Clarion headunits. It has like 10 buttons on it and nothing for volume or channels. I may have to use that if I can't find anything else. It will be annoying to have to adjust volume on the headunit itself.

    Lost Headunit Remote Control :(

I use it all the time. My friends all ask why. I just say because I like it. Also I keep my eyes on the road when I watch DVD movies. I have my hand on the remote with all the buttons memorized. I am a responsible driver unlike some people. Are they the crappy Clarion default controllers...

    Lost Headunit Remote Control :(

I don't know how to use it without the remote. It is a touch screen player.

    Lost Headunit Remote Control :(

Man it happened yesterday. I don't know why this happened to me. Yesterday I went to: -work -exercise -subway -bowling league -grocery store 5 Places! I can't believe it if it dropped out of my car. Unbelievable!!!

    Lost Headunit Remote Control :(

Is that the only way? This sucks! Could I get a cheap used Clarion system with a similar remote?

    Lost Headunit Remote Control :(

How do I go about getting a replacement remote for my headunit? I have a Clarion MAX385VD and I lost the remote yesterday like an idiot! Already looked on ebay, amazon,... I just installed it back in April of this year!

Using Headunit Outside of the Car (Home/standalone)

And with that last sentence you saved me a crap load of time. Will be storing the headunit in a box and will not see it again hehe. Nothing makes me more mad than resetted settings.

Using Headunit Outside of the Car (Home/standalone)

Hey all. I just had my Pioneer headunit replaced with a touchscreen Clarion DVD player. I wanted to know if it is possible to build a 'custom boombox' with the headunit and getting a couple of basic component speakers and drilling it altogether in a little box. I see at car audio shops, they...

    Volume fluctuation While Driving

When installing another battery, where does it go? Within the car or somewhere near it in the engine bay?

    Volume fluctuation While Driving

Softer when sitting still. I know this because I assumed it was the battery was not getting charged by the alternator. Maybe it is the ASL. I was thinking about taking it to NTB and getting a better battery if that was the case. When driving, the sound is constant.

    Volume fluctuation While Driving

No it definately changes. Like if I am listen to a song like Billie Jean with the constant beat it has, that beat will suddenly become softer, then it will get solid and loud. I thought it was my ears but my ears are clean. I will check the ASL because everything got reset and I know I didn't...

    10" 12" or 15" Subs Question!

Currently I got 1 12" sub. My last car had 2 10" subs. I can't really compare the sound of each since the last car was made of metal (80's SUV truck) and my current car isn't exactly metal. Anyways, to get the deepest, hard hitting, precise bass, what is better?   3 x 10's   2 x 12's  ...

    Volume fluctuation While Driving

Awesome! My system is: Pioneer DEH-80MP Headunit 2 x RF Amps (subs and components) Polk Components Kicker Mids I will check the ASL. It might of been turned back on because I disconnected the battery a couple of weeks ago to install FatMat in the car. THANKS --- EDIT: I thought...
