Bump.

For the longest time my car's dash clock hasnt worked and i just didnt bother trying to get it fixed, but today i was fiddling with the wires when trying to install my new head unit and when i touched the red and yellow wires coming from the car together the clock turns on, and when i take them...

The head unit turns off when the car turns off so i dont see a problem.

Yeah the fused popped, but that wasnt my initial problem however i fixed it by twisting the red and yellow wires together on both the head unit and the wiring harness and then twisting red+yellow to red+yellow so now it gets power and has memory. thanks for your help anyway

for some reason now, with the key in and car on the red reads 0 and the yellow reads about 1.4ish

It is wired correctly, and it wont turn on... thus the reason i am posting here....

I've got my brand new sony GT420IP head unit all wired up but for some reason it wont turn on. I've checked to see if there is power coming from the red wire out of the car and it is giving off like ~13.5 VDC, so power is going to the unit it just wont turn on for some reason. I have tried...
