I have 8 gauge for power and ground wires. I don't have any of the others. I'm not familier with these things but who hooked my system up for me is but not much with the newer products. Do you think that I just don't have enough power going to the amp?

Ok so I just bought 2 12 in pioneer subs,1600 w 1 ch amp also pioneer. Also a tsunami 1.2 farad capacitor. I had power to my old amp then it just stopped working. Set everything new up yesterday and had power to the capacitor then it just stopped again. I checked all the fuses and all the wiring...
