Well here’s the next problem even if it did work and not get hot ur speakers are rated 25 watt @ 2 ohms which is what 12.5 @ 4 headunit is roughly 22 watt rms sounds like distortion gonna be a problem

Most nissans run 2 ohm speakers most head units not designed to run 2 ohms do you have amp hooked up or just using head unit. Should still get sound but probably cut off at higher volumes

I’d check ground first bad ground created noise also did u run power separate than rca’s?

If u have dmm check dc volts at amp and see if your getting power through the wires

Well how thin is thin ?and is ur ground same size as ur power ? Check ground make sure it’s grounded at a good spot and scrape paint away to make sure it’s making good connection. Also if u have a dmm check to make sure ur getting voltage at amp Could be lots of dif things how is sub wired...

Yeah so I played a little more seems like it only reads negative when amp is powered on with amp off it reads positive. And amp is still fully functional and yes I’m am testing with no volume head unit at 0 guess it’s no big deal it still works just getting crazy readings

Dmm works fine to test dc volts at amp hell even tested ac current in the house and it works fine

With the speaker wires plugged into amp it reads negative at the terminals. When I take out speaker wire from amp and touch just the Wires it reads positive

I even went as far as switching pos and neg and it still comes out neg makes no sense

Yes all other channels and subs test fine

Ok so I wanted to check final ohm load amp was seeing it’s a 4 channel alpine v12 400s and one channel was reading negative 4.1 at amp so when I take speaker wires off they read positive 4.1 wires hooked upright pos to pos neg to neg rca’s not crossed how is my final ohm comin out negative at amp
