So in other words if my amp gain is turnt down, bass knob turnt down my amp isn't putting out 1700 watts at 1ohm correct?Because that's what i want...less power but enough for what want.

total system is 2 polk audio sr124 dvc,1 set of polk audio db6501,1 set of polk audio 691,hifonic brutus 1700.1, any good 100x4 4ch amp, and kenwood excelon kdc-x493.that's my whole setup for now.

and naw I just want a daily driver with bass on reserve if i need it,but what I'm trying to understand...is how do I test how many watts or volts the amp draws?.I don't have any equipment to this.What is box rise cause your confusing the hell out of me...
