yes thats my amp im so sick of those ****in bozos that installed that i could ****in kill somebody

its a mono power amplifier mrp m-1000 by alpine and its the v power

there is 4 terminals on each sub.... 2 positives and 2 negatives.... and they are both 2 ohms on each sub, meaning it says 2 ohm twice

and they have adjusted the gain numerous times and turned it right down to where i barely get any ****in base and it still overheats the amp and puts it in protect

so your saying two 4 ohm subs instead of two 2 ohm subs right?

thats exactly whats happening its going into protect.... i was told with the 2 subs in parallel like that the ohms will reduce in half, so 2 ohm will reduce to 1 ohm and run hot cause there is not enough resistance, now if i have 2 4 ohm subs, that will reduce to 2 ohm then i should have enough...

kk i have a problem with my amp overheating, its a 1000 watt alpine v-power and its powering 2 10 inch alpine type r's..... i got the guys at the car audio place to install it and i think they may have messed up.... they have a feed going to one sub from the amp then a continuation from the one...
