I talked with Pac and swapped the module and its working great now. Sounds much better too.    Still havent gotten and answer on the alpine. 

Hey guys,  I put in a sony XAV-AX3000 yesterday, along with a pac rp5-gm11.   This is in a 03 suburban with bose.      First question.  When I plug the interface harness into the port labeled "factory amplified audio"   I get what sounds like a shorted circuit. Meaning the audio kinda cuts out...
