for comps you want to tune above your cars res freQ and play the res freQ in my car i built a slot port in the box tuned to 62hz and play 52hz, i then made a drawer that slides into the bigger port thet is tuned to 35hz, for daily driving.

bigger is always better. d class amps are more efficient than a/b class but only thermaly they still draw the same current at max output. they turn the outputs on and off rapidly instead of having them on all the time so they don't run as hot. but an amp is a current hungry beast no matter what...
