Focal K2P Upgraded Lack of Midbass

When I was exploring to upgrade my Focal Polyglass 165V2, I talked to our local Focal dealer & asked the difference between K2P and KPS. K2P - midrange & tweeter set. KPS - woofer & tweeter set. The dealer added that the K2P has a clearer midrange, while the KPS has a stronger...

New Hertz Mille System Installed as Promised

Tim.B - that sure is a beautiful sub sir! 12" I pressume? So my options for a 10" sub is either the Mille ML2500 or the HX 250D? Got pics of these as well? Are these Hertz subs for IB or could they go for a 1 cubic sealed box application?

New Hertz Mille System Installed as Promised

I'm also thinking of going all Hertz with my current set-up. While I do have the MLK165 - I was looking at the ML2500 (10"), but its kinda pricey. Would an HSK 10" sub be complimentary as well? Any feedbacks on the HSK 10" sub?

    Hertz Mille MLK165 mids?

I just heard from our local Hertz dealer/distributor that he could only order a minimum of 4 sets - so that'll be 8pcs of mid woofers.......so since we only need 2 mids, I guess we're out of luck. Going the route of using a different brand for the mids, is our only choice now - can anybody...

    Hertz Mille MLK165 mids?

Oh cool - thanks! Could anyone list a price for the mids or maybe PM me if listing prices is not allowed? Or maybe point me to anyone who we can purchase these from? Thanks!

    Hertz Mille MLK165 mids?

Good day! I recently bought the Hertz Mille MLK165 (loving it!) and my installer bought the HSK165. Yesterday in our local car audio forum, we saw someone selling his new MLK165 - just tweeters & xovers for a great price. Apparently, he's going active and only plans to use the MLK's...

    CDA-9835 or DEH-P880PRS

Nope. I already changed speakers from Focal 165V2 to Hertz Mille MLK165, even BEFORE the 880 arrived. So to answer your question - yes, both HUs were tested with the SAME speakers.

New Hertz Mille System Installed as Promised

That is such a great & very clean install - congrats! While I only have the MLK165 for the past 5 days - I am loving it everyday!

    CDA-9835 or DEH-P880PRS

Yeah, too bad I learned that the hard way I just thought that since the 9835 is about 3yrs old, I thought that somehow Pioneer would have some technological advancement to compete. Have there been adequate reviews that are out if the new 9887 would be at par with the 9835?

    CDA-9835 or DEH-P880PRS

The 880PRS finally arrived last weekend and we got to test it out yesterday.....sadly, I was dissapointed. About 10 days ago, I mentioned in this board about the Alpine 9835 I got from Desertheat. The Alpine replaced my Pioneer P7700MP which was a great improvement overall. It tamed the tweets...

    Hertz: HSK165 or Milli?

The MLK165 is incredible! Due to the distributor's hectic sched in his own shop, we had to go to my own installer to finally try out the MLK in my ride - this set is awesome!! Needless to say, the distributor drove home w/o speakers in his car! My installer was so impressed with the sound that...

    Hertz: HSK165 or Milli?

I was about to order a set of Focal 165KPs to upgrade from my 165V2 when I heard the Hertz Mille MLK165......and just powered by a Pioneer HU. The tweets of the MLK were crisp & full of detail - no ear fatigue even when the HU was driven to almost clipping. I didnt hear much of the midbass...

Focal 165V2 upgrade to K2P - good idea?

You guys are right.....and I did get the confirmation from some folks who are using the K2P: K2P= midrange (w/ phase plug)/tweeter set. Great midrange detail. but lacks bass/midbass kick. KPs= woofer/tweeter set. A bit less detail on the mids, but punchier midbass. Both the K2P and KPs uses...

    CDA-9835 or DEH-P880PRS

Just an update: I finally received & just installed a 9835 that I got from desertheat (thanks man!) to replace my Pioneer DEH-P7700MP. The 9835 was less "bright" - it even tamed the tweets of my Focals. We didnt touch anything on the 9835 but just the xover points as my previous Pioneer...
