How many layers should I do?

Hey Guys and Gals Can you use fiberglass to make the floor of your enclosure? This would be much thinner than 3/4 MDF thus giving you more volume. The reason I am asking is I have a 2006 Ford F150 supercrew. I have designed an enclosure were I would fiberglass the floor under the back seats...
