    Thanks for your replies. Does anybody know anything about the paper cones in the first post? They are much deeper than most car speakers. I've already got generic silk dome tweeters, I can design and build my own x/overs.

    Is there any point in sticking these in the doors of my 86 civic to get some half decent bass? I can't post a link, please check item 300618271710 on ebay OR do I need to get a polypropylene cone woofer?
