I just got an Alpine CDM-7893. What I want to do is put a cheapo setup in my truck for the time being: that head unit and two front speakers. It puts out 60W x 4. Is there any way I can bridge it to get something like 120W x 2? Thanks

I was looking to replace the speakers in my truck and install a new head unit (2 year-old Alpine, forget the model number). Nothing crazy, as I'm hopefully going to get a new car soon, but I have two twelve hour road trips coming up, and I'm going to go crazy without some decent sounding music...

I have a '94 GMC Sierra extended cab with 4x6 speakers up front in the dash facing up. Is there any way I can replace them with bigger speakers? Is anyone familiar with sound systems in this truck?

How can I tell? I don't think it's one speaker because all four make that noise. Would replacing the head unit solve the problem?

Anyone? This poor girl has to suffer a life of quiet music without your help...

I have a friend who has a stock 2000 Suburu Impreza. Whenever she turns up the volume past "24," which isn't too loud, the sound cuts off and is replaced by this horrible high pitched tone. You have to turn it off and back on to play music again. Any ideas on what it could be?
