I have xs power d6500 battery just got installed a week ago

I have 0 gauge running from my alternator to my battery and two grounds one running to the chassis and the other to the engine block.

I don't know much about car audio. I think I did the big three kit on my truck. My friend installed most of my sound system and he's no expert either.

The only upgrades is the battery and 0 gauge wire running to the amp

It is a good amp just needs a lot of power. Should I upgraded my alternator first before installing the second battery ?

Do all the amps with 1000+ rms drain a lot of power like the Jl Audio 1000.1 ? Or are there amps that push more without pulling that much battery power ? I have done the big three,new battery, and have 0 gauge running to the amp. My lights are still dimming after all these upgrades. The amp...
