Personally I thought the w3v2 was the best sounding JL until the new w6v2. I havent heard the w3v3 much to compare. I would say the W3 would be a little better sq then the D3. Now the D6 on the other hand is a nice sub. I have heard a D3 and they are good.

If thats the case then why do they go out of there way to advertise that they are full range? The HD's are .03% THD. So they are not giving up much THD for efficency anymore. Im not argueing just learning.

Sundown E8's. I just ordered 3. I would do 8w3v3's before the 8w1's for SQ. Ebay has some 8w3v2's and 8w6's new. ID8's would sound good too. You should be able to fit 4 of them in like 1.2^3 sealed.

I havent heard a 9500 but you must have sold it for a reason. I would say the D9 would be a big upgrade in SQ and only a small down grade if at all in SPL. I doubt if anyone here has heard both in the same car but maybe others will chime in. The D9 is bad azz tho. Good impact too.

I havent heard alot of different subs but I have heard a DA 12D9 HEX off a D6 1500rms power amp in a hatch back and it was incredibly loud and clean. Its more SQL then SPL but it was plenty loud for a dialy driver.

Diamond Audio D9's get loud and do it very clean. Great subs IMO. A pair of used D9's wont go for more then $300-$400 tops. Im not sure what that amp is worth.

Mine are going in a 2008 Tundra Crew Max. I am trying to deceide between 2 or 3. I have never heard the Sundown 8's so I dont know how many I need.
