Am I Wiring My Amp Wrong?

The amp I'm using to power my subs is a UltraLinear ULZ1001 and it is mono. The amp is fine and so are the subs. I tested them by hooking up my Zune via RCA cables. The problem is only there when the amp/subs are hooked up to the cars stereo. The problem is that the subs are playing more than...

    Now what is wrong?

Ok so I was told to upgrade my amp since it only put out 360 watts rms and my subs are each 300 watts rms. I got a good deal on an UltraLinear ulz1001. I read good reviews on it so I said why not. It is rated at 1000watts rms @ 2 ohms. I have my subs hooked in parallel to the 1 channel since...

    What headunit should I get?

Alright. I'm looking for a really nice head unit that is less than $150. I don't need a usb hook up but I do need a aux input. I want to be able to get great sound from it. Be able to adjust the speakers and sub woofer separately so that the speakers don't get all distorted. Any suggestions...

    What's wrong with my setup?

Alright, since I have the 2 subs svc @ 4ohms, 300w rms, should I get a 2 channel amp at 4ohms each channel or a mono amp with 2 ohm channel.

    What's wrong with my setup?

Okie Dokie. Seems like I've found the problem to my subs not performing like they should. How much impact does the headunit have on sub performance? My headunit doesn't have a seperate sub adjustment or anything. Just the bass, middle, treble, loud, and sla.

    What's wrong with my setup?

And at 4 ohms too, since that is what the impedance of the subs are, right?

    What's wrong with my setup?

400-500watts rms each, wow. What kind of amp would drive that? Price?

    What's wrong with my setup?

Yes it's a v6. What do you mean by going off the glass? Are you guys familier with the trunk of a 93-02 camaro/firebird? It seems to give me the best sound when I have the box in the very back of the trunk, in the "hole back there" with the sub fronts pointed up towards the hatch glass.

    What's wrong with my setup?

I didn't get a ported box cause I listen to metal etc. I thought that ported was best for hip hop/ rap. The sealed makes for tighter music, correct?
