Newb at wiring, not sure if I have ohms right.

Alright, I just got my new amp and am hooking it back up the same way of diagram two on the picture you showed me. Is hooking them up bridged the same or do I have to cut the wire and splice it?

Because anything close to me on craigslist is over 2 and a half hours away. I can go on amazon and have hassle free returns if I have problems, like what I just did even though it was my own fault and not the company's, and it comes in 2 day shipping.   ---------- Post added at 05:47 PM...

Yeah, I only hooked up one voice coil per sub. My last subs were SVC and when I put this subs in I didn't even think or notice the other coils. I knew they were DVC but when installing them I just got too dang excited. Since I got the amp through Amazon I was able to send it back, hassle free...

The bass boost was very low, the gain was about halfway up, the low pass was almost all the way up if I remember.

Haha I didn't use either, they are both dual coil but I only hooked up one coil on each sub. I didn't really think about it because my old subs were single coil. PUNCH Subwoofers - P2D2-12 - Rockford Fosgate® That's the website to the rockford subs that I currently have.

Yes, they are both 2ohm subs. Also how much does it affect the subs if I only have one voice coil hooked up on each sub? I'm going to change it when I get my new amp but just kind of wondering.

Are you talking about what's the impedance right now with them wired, or what they are rated for?

I was driving into town from my house, which takes 10 minutes, the subs stopped literally as soon as I got to town. I stopped my car, got out and looked at my amp and there were no lights on it at all. The protection mode light wasn't on and the power light wasn't on. I touched the amp and it...

Like the title says I'm not very good with wiring and not sure if I have the impedance right. So currently I have two Rockford Fosgate P2D2-12's and I fried my brand new amp in 10 minutes. The subs are: 400w rms @ 2ohms Which having two would come out to a total of 800w rms, right? The amp...
