Hard to decide...i love rockford cuz of there quality but not enough power from the t5001bd looks like it might be a hifonics or kenwood but still open to suggestions

An amp doubles your wattage when u drop the omhs, but the subwoofer can take less wattage when run at an lower omhs. if there is a 1000 watt 4 ohm voice coil, then when wired to 2 ohms, it can take 500 omhs, when wired down to 1 ohm, it can only take 250 watts @ 1 ohm. A 500 rms wattage sub...

Subwoofers..So i could get 1000watt amp @ 1 ohm and not blow the speaker??

i read somewhere that said running lowers ohms decreases the wattage of the speaker so instead of 500watt rms @ 4 ohms i would get like 200 or something like that @ 1 ohm thats why i chose the 500watt amp is this correct?...and could i get a 700.1+ amp and the speakers be ok?
