Yes, they still have them discounted. Cool find. I'll consider it, but 4ohm SVC speakers aren't my preference. I'm glad everyone agrees that Infinity kappa perfects are SQ subs. For a minute I thought I was going to lose my mind.

I'm not looking to make that much noise. I'm not looking to pay for DB levels that I'll never use. I'm simply looking to build an inexpensive system in my daily driven VW GTI that has great sound quality. That's all. Maybe the guy told me they weren't "really a sq sub" because I was asking...

Was told today by an audio shop that kappa perfects are not SQ subs. Also was told that Infinity sucks for cars (I understand they don't get loud, but do they ****?) Anyway, let me know what ya think. I'm looking for a SQ sub for around $100 so I figured the kappa perfects would work.

Whats the difference between running 4ohm and 2ohm? Should I run an Alpine type R that needs 500W for 425W @ 4ohm or 800W @ 2ohm, with the gain properly set in either scenario of course?

Which amp should I go with for an alpine type R 10"? It has to be about $100. I will be running it from a line output converter, if that matters. Its DVC 2ohm. So I can run it at 4ohm or 1ohm. Probably 1ohm considering my budget =) Would an infinite basslink sound better than this setup...
