Would a Alpine MRP-M500 work? it says 500w at 2ohm

I have 2 JL w3v3 6.5 subs SVC 4ohm. I would need a 500watt at 2ohm amp to power them both right in a parallel, correct? Making them run at 2ohm, because you cannot run 2 SVC at 4ohm with one amp and running a 8ohm amp in serial to these would be impractical and costly. Is this correct? I am...
