millionbuy does not sell jbl amps... bumpertobumper7 is good but he takes a while to ship your stuff...compared to most people ship next day and arrives a week later

i have ONE alpine 12 inch type r in my trunk... had it facing backwards with the seat up...and i drive a prelude so the seat isnt all too thick...BUT the bass hit freakin hard as hell...my hair vibrates in my car when i turn the volume upto 3/4 now i have it facing forward with the seat...

what i have right now is one rca from the headunit subwoofer out going down all the way to my trunk... and then in the trunk...two strike rca y cables splitting the signal so i can insert it into all the four inputs on the amp

the headunit subout is working fine and is 2.5v the headunit is brand new he didnt make anything louder...i readjusted the gain when i got home and the only reason i talked about sub distortion is because i didnt have it before, so no matter how much i turned the gain up on the amp the sub...

dude i used sub out and the y cable made the world of difference before the y cable...the amp wasnt even sending enough power to make the subs distort with gain maxed out but now wit the y cable the amp can distort the subs at about half the way till max not only that but the bass works from...

thas what i thought so too... if you dont believe me go try it the JBL amps need all of the rca's to have inputs... and as far as the guy that works at Extreme audio knows...it's the only mono amp that requires this I have the y cables on my amp right now and it makes a difference, its like...

i went to the local JBL authorized shop to go get my amp adjusted... and as soon as i got there the first thing he did was stick two y cables onto my RCA he told me that no matter how much i mess with the gain, it's not going to do much if i don't send the correct amount of signal into the...

i wouldnt think it would absolutely be necessary to set the amp crossover at all...if it is sending only 80 hz frequencies then that should be all the amp is picking up so wouldnt it be logical that the crossover can be anywhere from 80 hz and up?

well ill do as you say besides the turning back 1/8 turn since i dont turn up beyond 3/4 the volume control.. one step beyond 3/4 and things start to rattle and i dont have money for dynamat yet :p

btw i have a 12 inch alpine 300 watts stable and loading off onto the amp 4 ohms and a jbl bp600.1 which is 300 watts at 4 ohm

well i really cant hear the difference...i've turned the gain on the amp to the maxes both ways...and it juss gets louder turning one way...but after that the loudness stays the same all the way through and i cant hear any weird noises...the woofer gets pretty violent though and starts to push...

i've turned ma amp up quite high on the gain....and couldnt notice any particular sound...it juss stopped getting louder at a point but beyond that...it didnt make any weirder noises

muddy? a please be fore vivid...will the cone of the subwoofer act like its vibrating down to a stop if it is distorted? hmmm i have no clue so its juss the quality of the thump

i dont know how the sound of subs distorting sounds like :p my headunit sets the lpf crossover at 80hz so how does distortion on a sub sound from below there?
