I get that it needs to be 28. But the wall side of the port is gonna measure longer then the inside if it's an L port. using my above example I need 28 inches can only go back 20. So my outside wall I'd have 20" but inside of port would be 16" would I measure my additional 8" from the outside...

With the L port. Say I need 28 inches in length and can only go back 20 for example, I know id need an additional 8 inches along the back. But would I measure the inside of port or very outside edge? And why would the backseat be horrible? I don't think I'll have trunk room for 4cubic feet...
