i just replaced my stolen sony with a pioneer deh4600. i was stunned.

everytime i have to brake a little harder than usual my head unit mutes or the volume goes all the way up or all the way down. what concerns me is it goes all the way up. i dont know whats making this happen but it is going to destroy my system if i dont fix the problem. any suggestions?

sorry had a bad experience with a rf he2. had one 10 in a sealed box and blew it out with a cheap old sony 222w amp. wont go that route again even though it sounded nice while it lasted. thanks anyway

hifonics i think look best because they are sleek and not a whole lot to them. i like the audiobahns style but they are much too flashy. maybe if they would tone it down a bit id like them more.

dont go either way w/ those. i have a $200 amp from circuit city that will do just fine for u. its a 2 channel kenwood 800 w amp. it pumps out 460w to one sub if bridged but if that too much for you you can still get a much better amp than the sony or jensen for $200.

sounds like a blown sub or fuse to me. start there and then work your way up. also push the sub like the other guy said. those are the quickest ways to check without tearing stuff up
