I just noticed that the nav on my 8120 doesnt work as of late. I push the nav. button and it switches to nav but the screen is just black. The rest of the 8120 seems to be working perfectly except for the nav. I reset with the button on the front but still no luck. Since the Garmin nav. on...

Have the same truck, not too much room under the rear seat. I went with 2 shallow mounts. Box looks good so far, looking forward to an update.

I just bought some Rainbow Germaniums from Don (6speedcoupe) and the buying experience was absolute perfection. He's a super nice guy, very knowledgeable about Rainbows and the price was great. I havent done too much experimenting with speakers, but I've had Boston Rally 620, Boston Pro 60's...

I can vouch for that. I just bought a set of Germanuims from Don and the price was great, service was beyond excellent and he kept in touch with me the whole way till Fedex dropped them off. Now all I gotta do is get them installed........ thanks again Don.

Whats the general consensus on Woofers etc.? I've googled them a few times and have seen tons of threads of people saying they are a grey market, up selling scam company, but almost everyone here links them when they are referring to a set of speakers or amps. I know they arent authorized...

My Kenwood DNX 8120 is a great head unit for all of my needs. The nav. is hard drive based by Garmin, bluetooth by Parrot and one of the fastest ipod interfaces I've used yet. Album art work is crystal clear as far as I'm concerned. I have a few more pics if you need them, but heres an album...

I was running them passive and after much trail and error I ended up with the jumpers in the middle, but I tried all the positions. I liked the clarity but they were just too bright for me.

Just sold my Boston Pro 60's. The tweeters are very bright. But if you like that, you'll have fun with them. They take a lot of power and get very loud and clear.

I second that. My Pro 60's were very bright and fatiguing.

I just recently sold my set of Pro 60's. They did lack midbass and the tweeters were very bright and fatiguing, but they were clear. They are nice speakers but I prefer a smoother tweeter....... but if you like a bright tweeter (which many people do) they are a good choice.

I'm about to pull the trigger on a set of Rainbow Germaniums in the next coupe weeks. I have heard the Focals and like mentioned above, they can be bright if not set correctly. I heard a set of K2P's that sounded pretty good.... but I prefer a silk tweeter myself.

Are you talking about a PS-2 cable as in a PlayStation 2 cable?..... I had no idea. I think the Zapco would be a nice long term goal, but for now I'm going to start with a 300/4v2 and bridge it to 150w. My V-Series F550 Alpine has a faint hiss to it, I thought it was my install, but my buddy...

What do you mean by "running with some head room" ? When I go with the 300/4v2, I'm going to bridge it to get 150w to my Germs...... I need more than that?

Yeah, thanks.... I wasnt going to buy from Woofers, its just any easy link to post cause it has all the info and brands to browse thru. I plan on getting my Rainbows from 6Speed so if I got a Zapco I'd go with him for that also. I think I'll go with a JL 300/4v2. A Zapco would be nice but...
