    I knew that it was 1000 watt peak. I just didn't know which way I'd be able to get the most out of the amp/sub combo. The amp was actually given to me by a friend. So no money lost there.

    So why exactly would it be incapable of being wired at 2 ohm? is it because each coil is 2 ohm and would have to be wired together to be amplified? Would it be best if I just returned it and got a 4 Ohm model? Sorry, I'm new to this and want to learn as much as possible

    I just purchased an alpine type r DVC 2ohm sub and am trying to figure out the best way to wire it. I have a 1000 watt kenwood amp. How could i get the most power out of this set up? Thank you for your help! This is the sub : Alpine - SWR-10D2 This is the amp : Kenwood - KAC-8105D
