I'd see if I could find another ipod to try in your car and see if it gives you the same problem.

Have you tried a different cable or checking your dock connector on the ipod? I've had a dirty connector and bad cables give me issues before.

I just recently seen a center console bbeljefe built and painted in person and that thing looked AMAZING! As long as the color blends with the rest of your interior it should look great.

I think he uses audacity but don't have a clue how he does it. There are several methods but he seems to have made an art out of it. The way he does it will take a lot of practicing and tweaking for someone that is new to it.

If the amplifier is gonna be strictly for subwoofer duties, I would be looking for a class D monoblock amp for better efficiency.
