i wouldn't encourage anybody to ever buy an mtx 81000d mono block amplifier.considering it's got 2.0 THD.(which is extremely bad by the way).rockford fosgate is junk and is way over priced.if you want a extremely nice sub amp.buy an eclipse 34230.you will never find a better sub amp anywhere...

there 15's,and i've got about 750 watts rms to each.there also so god damn loud because there in a 98 explorer firing towards the rear man.nobody believes me until i show the trophy.

if you want the best head unit you can get for the money then buy eclipse.that is the best head unit you can buy right now and has been for the longest time.

use two by fours!and figure how much you are off(which you already have done),and keep adding or subtracting the two by fours.

for a while i had the same problem.and i finally went out and bought a 1 farad capacitor from lightning audio.and it made a big difference.but now that i have three amps,(each pulling 100 amps of current)i need a little more juice.soyes,i would recommend a lightning cap for now.
