    Because they are rich? Actually I think because big screen TVs are so cheap nowadays, you can basically build a small private theater in your own house.

    Is the 50" Panasonic also LCD TV? Not too many source will give you true 1080p resoultion. But when it does give you true 1080, you will definitely see a noticeable difference between 1080 and 720.
