So the US is going to forgive foriegn debt

Last I checked, we weren't exactly in a grain deficit. In fact, we grow surpluses specifically to export it to other countries, so I fail to see where your gripe is here. As for forgiving debts to middle eastern countries, I'm guessing that's being done for a couple of reasons; 1) whenever...

Low level input not functioning properly?

After I posted last it occurred to me that I should check to see if the amp works with the iPod plugged in and the amp switched to low pass, and it does. Since it works with the high level inputs, should I assume the LOC is the culprit?

Low level input not functioning properly?

So I unplugged the high level harness, switched the amp to full pass, plugged in my wife's iPod with a mini jack to RCA cable, and it worked. The only variables are 1. the LOC (it was a Scosche LOC 80 2 channel) or perhaps 2. the switch on the amp? The LOC was connected to the same wires as...

Low level input not functioning properly?

Thanks for the reply, Joe. I happen to have one of those cables, so I'll give it a shot. I assume I could continue using the speaker level inputs if it turns out the low level input is toast?

Low level input not functioning properly?

I have an Alpine MRP T220, which I have bridged to run a 10" shallow mount sub in a custom box. I would like to use it with an active crossover, but it appears that the low level inputs are not functioning, i.e. when I wire up a LOC from my stock head unit I get no output to the sub. Is there...

Likewise. Nice to have a discussion that doesn't devolve into polarized positions simply because of a difference of view.

If one follows this viewpoint, then I think you have to agree that it was not intended to be "set in stone" so to speak, but was amenable to change and interpretation. Especially since the first ten amendments (which clearly sought to curtail the powers of the federal government) were authored...

For those who want to argue about politics...

Two points: 1. There are often hidden agendas when legislation is considered, but that doesn't make the enactment extra-legal or unconstitutional. Of dubious rationale; certainly. I think we can agree on that point. 2. I don't want to digress too far from my original question of how one...

For those who want to argue about politics...

So, in the example of the marijuana tax stamp act, how do you reconcile your distaste for the act while still supporting the type of people who made it happen?

For those who want to argue about politics...

Your choice of the Marijuana tax stamp act is an interesting one, as it was originally pushed by moneyed industrial interests who sought to suppress the marijuana trade not on health or "political correctness" grounds (although it was portrayed as such by the legislators whom the industrialists...

Do you disagree that the federal courts should interpret the meaning of the Constitution, or just with some of their decisions? Kind of hard to tell from what you've posted.

if you voted for Barack Hussein Obama

About ten (maybe more) years ago me and the mrs. went to Montreal for a long weekend and I bought a ton of new clothes. I was getting $1.60 CDN for every US dollar at the time, and I used my debit card. When I got home I had spent about $500 and had a new overcoat, two suits, a couple pair of...
