Brand new in box (never taken out of plastic or box), mint condition MMats Hi-Fi 6150D amplifier. This amp was bought a month ago (March 31st) and I decided to use my Helix V12 DSP/amp instead. As you can see in pics, I paid $1229. Price is firm.
Only one possible problem. They sent me the 2ohm MB8s, not 4ohm. The tweeters are 4ohm. I will be running all this off a Helix V twelve DSP/AMP. Will it pose a problem since they are different impedences? Should I return the MB8s for 4 ohm version?
I can't do the larger subwoofers. I have 2 kids that sit back there and I need the room. I'll stick with what I got. I did however pick up a set of these tweets. I'm hoping I can fit them somewhere. I may have to customize my A-pillars...
I was thinking of getting two DD 2508G in a ported box. Would two BM-11's down firing sound better? Ported or sealed. I know they would be "cleaner", but I love some deep bass!
I currently have four 8" G2 Dynamic subs with a Synergy Audio WFO 3.1d amp. I was thinking of dropping down to two or three subs for more air space and lower hertz.
I really appreciate the input and information. I was wanting loud with clarity. It seems the Stevens MB8s were the right way to go. Ive not been in car audio since '92 so please forgive me if I'm wrong...But if I'm understanding you right you're saying use only the MB8s and tweeters. Nothing...
What about from 10k - 20khz? Nothing other than the tweeter? I've never heard or used a compression and I don't know that it would even fit to be honest. What brand and model? I'm not familiar with them.
I'm looking for a quality 3.5" for the doors and dash that can get loud but also has great clarity. Something that won't blow when I crank it. Any suggestions?
Thanks! The reviews were fantastic and the price was even better! Bought 4 of the MB8s and Evil 1 Tweeters. Now I need a 3.5" to complement them and I'm done. My truck has seven 3.5" speakers. Like I said, I want LOUD but clarity too.
