Can I just ground this wire to the frame or do I need a relay to bypass it on this radio?

My front speakers werent working right and were poppy and fuzzy and most of the time werent working . I replaced the speakers with kenwood ones it was working at first then the same thing happened. I rewired the speakers from the amp to receiver to see if it was the amp. they started work but...
