Maybe your amp is set on Full or HP filter. Set it to LP if you are powering subs. I had this problem also until i started messing around with the amp.

Anyone got some ideas on how to cool an amp down. Havnt had any shutoff probs but my profile amp gets scolding hot.

well i finally made my final decision on a budget amp and got the profile ap1200 should arrive this thurs according to fedex site. i appreciate all the comments and help on this amp, im sure i will be happy with it until i can get the money to get something better.

ok i have 2 kicker comp c15's and they are each 8ohms. I got them from someone already wired and everything. I tested out the speaker wire that goes to the amp and it recorded between 3.5 and 3.6ohms is this close enough to a 4ohm load?

What is the difference in the california CA and the AP? was the CA just a certain line they did cuz i think the AP is the newest from the cali line. Also im thinkin on getting the AP1200 and bridge it to get 600watts rms to push my 2 kicker 15's rated at 250rms a piece will this amp be good?
