    mixing different brand speakers

ok. well I wil just use a 2-channel alpine amp (yes I have a lot of amps lying around the house) to power the bass shakers (already installed). I'm not sure what you guys think of em, but I think the bass shakers are really awesome! I have a 12" solo-baric Kicker L7 doing the bulk of the bass...

I guess it would make for a total of 6 tweeters. I really want the polk tweeters on the doors but I don't have the box with the mounting stuff anymore. So it will be difficult to make it happen. Is this not a good idea to get 2 more tweeters for mounting on the doors?

ok--- well I still have a decent quality 4channel alpine amp in my garage. Could I possibly get two additional tweeters mounted on the doors (leaving the existing polks in the dash) and use the 4 channel amp to power them? THe MTX tweeters sound pretty good. (other 2 channels are going to 2...

    mixing different brand speakers

I wish you guys could've heard my oldsmobile. Not only could you see it coming a mile away (it was a vivid canary yellow 2-door) but you could hear me coming at least 1/4 mile away. I will probably be 50% deaf by the time I'm 30, but it's worth it.

    mixing different brand speakers

Even if I keep the polks--- I was thinking of putting in a custom addition in the rear area of my jeep liperty to hold 2 Infinity Reference 3-way 6x9's. Just to supplement the mid-range, and add a little bit of high's to the people in the back. They are on sale this week at circuit city, I...

    mixing different brand speakers

I am just looking for very very loud mid-range. Whether the high's are things of beauty or not doesn't matter too much to me. I don't exactly listen to "good" music (LP, Korn, Disturbed, etc.)

    I have 2 Polk C400.4 (4channel 100w X4) amps. Thanks a lot for the quick responses!

    mixing different brand speakers

I am trying to keep my Polk Momo tweeters in the dash (the crossover is hidden behind my head-unit) Use Pioneer 3-way speakers in all 4 doors, and put 2 6x9 Infinity 3-way's in the back. For a total of 8 speakers. Now--BRAND NAMES ASIDE ------ is this possible? (Main question--- if I put 3-way...

    Custom Speaker Install---- questions

Ok--- well let me ask a different question then. I am looking at some other 3-way 6.5" speakers, but it looks like the majority of speakers for sale are 2-way. Which is better for my set-up?

    Custom Speaker Install---- questions

Really? The 6x9's sounded better than the 6.5's in the showroom.

    4-way amp question

By the way--- I don't care about bass from my door speakers. I have that covered (12" Kicker L7 - Rockford 500 Punch amp)

    4-way amp question

It will be powering 2 Polk Momo tweeters, 2 Infinity Kappa 3-way 6.5" speakers, and 2 Infinity Reference 2-way 6.5" speakers. I have studio-grade silver wires connecting everything. Which amp is a better choice. I am looking for extreme high volumes without distortion. I like vocals and...

    Custom Speaker Install---- questions

There is a semi-sense of urgency on this question as well. Circuit City has a sale on the speakers I want this week (sale starts tomorrow and ends on December 10th) The exact speaker pair I want to buy is Infinity Reference 3-way 6x9" door speakers.

    Custom Speaker Install---- questions

I have a 2004 Jeep liberty. THe front door speaker size is 6.5". I wanted to put 6x9 speakers in the two front doors... there is enough surface area for them to fit, but will the window go all the way down? I don't know about problems that could come up. Also, where would I get a speaker grill...

dynamite my door speakers for $100

putting in dynamat is probably the longest part of the install process of a car stereo stystem. It could take close to an hour or maybe longer. I would recommend not dealing with the hassle and just pay them to do it. $100 total is not bad at all. Especially if you have cheap plastic doors----...
