I think I figured it out. I can raise the impedance on the channel, but not the other way around. I can run (4) 100w channels at 4ohm (even though it's listed as 4/100@2ohm). But on the (2) 4ohm channels at 200w I can't run 2ohm speakers (or a set parallel that load the amp up at more ohms).

I want all 4 channels run to each door (Alpine SPS-610 rear & SPS-610c w/stock tweeters front). If I buy Kicker's 800.5, can I run (4) 100w 2ohm channels to my 4ohm speakers? As I understand it, this should put my speakers well into the sweet spot (slightly overpowered for 80w RMS).
