oh yea i've had similar memphis speakers in the mustang i used to own and were ok but it was my first system. they were not amplified though.

i just bought an 04 silverado from a friend of mine and he has i nice system in it that was part of the deal. alpine hu CDA-9825 memphis 6x9s in front memphis 4x7s in rear (i think the sizes or correct) 400watt(rms) pushing those speakers 1 10" base memphis sub with 400watt(rms) pushing...

I don't think that 600-700 would be enough either.

My friend just gave me 4 memphis audio 5x7's. I just tried them out and i like the way the way they sound!

What do u guys think of memphis audio??? A good friend of mine who does some local comps says their a good brand but i have never heard of them.

I have a 2000 ford mustang. i want to upgrade my front and rear speakers. i think the size of my factory speakers are 6x8. What do you guys recommend? I have two crappy sony 12's in my trunk with an 1100 watt sony amp. I'm about to sell them, sony blows in my opinion.
