Took the HU to a stereo shop and they tested it out and it works just fine! Now the problem lies somewhere in my car i suppose, it has to be the wiring. The guys at the shop said i might have a bad ground? Dunno how to check for a bad ground but i'll look into it. No matter what the HU sounds...

the bass has the crunchy sound, the mids an highs are very bright, For a 6x9 it sounds like a little factory speaker with no balls. . haha. If i dont reply soon it means i went to bed, but we can continue this tomorrow as i do want to find a solution to this problem.

yep, and gets much worse as the volume increases

Oh yeah it turns on, plays cd's it does everything else well except for the **** sound.

Is the Kenwood KAC-827 still available?

So its definite then that the HU amp is toast?? Yeah it has RCA's so i could just get an amp to power the new speakers but **** this sucks major @ss. jason

yeah i tried the old ones and they too sound no different than the new ones. Im afraid i just killed a nice HU.
