    True. I'm sure I could have done a search, but I'm brand new here and wasn't sure where and how to do much of anything yet, so I just posted a message. Thank you to everyone who took time to address my noise problem, even if the question is a redundant one on this message board. Peace, James

    I'll check that out. I hope that is what it is, because then it would be MY fault, and I'd much rather be angry with myself than with the person who wired my amp. Thank you Mike.

    I thought it might be a ground problem too, but being a novice when it comes to car audio installations I thought I'd better get advice from some folks who have a lot more clues than I do. Thank you Mercureie, I'll try checking my grounds first and see if that is it. I do know that the rca's...

    I just installed a Kenwood KDC-X911 head in my car, and had someone else install my four channel Kenwood KAC-648S amp for me. I have a six speaker configuration... two 3 1/2's in the front dash and two 6 x 9's in the front door panel make up channels one and two, and two 6 x 9's in the back...
