I have a friend who has a 91 Toyota minivan and there is something wrong with the stock stereo. It turns on, and everything functions but there is no sound. And when you change channels it makes this really loud beeping noise. Anyone know what the problem might be? thanks, Jake

Hey thanks a lot for your help man. The only problem now is that whenever i turn the car off and back on again all of my settings re gone. like the time and raido stations, things like that. is there a way to fix that?

i did something stupid....when i ran a wire to the battery i connected it to the ignition wire instead of the power wire. so i tried it with the power wire this time and it worked. so i have another question now.... where can i get power from?? somewhere in the fuse box?

anything else I can check for?

The raido fuse is fine. I also ran a wire dirrectly to the battery and still nothing happened. Is it possible that the wiring diagram is not 100% accurate? I tried switching the ignition and battery wires around and I heard the deck turn on this time but there was no display.

I just got my jeep broken into and the stereo stolen. They cut the harness so i have no where to plug my new deck into. I went to installdr.com and got the wiring diagram for my jeep and matched up the wires to my new deck. I am SURE I hooked everything up right but it wont power on. Any...
