Yea, I can imagine... I'll be sound deadening the entire trunk and removing the factory subwoofer in the rear deck to allow sound to get into the cabin. If that's not enough I'll make a port right though the middle of the back seat

I haven't. This is my 1st Zv3... I'll be making a box for it tomorrow.

I can actually fit up to about 50" wide, but trying to keep room for port to breathe and my 2 amps and an extra battery... Ugh

Don't have enough air space for either. I just sold my Sundown X18's because there was no way that was happening in this car

I'm not going for numbers, just a good daily build. I mostly listen to decaf and got 160s music. I guess what I meant by sound like crap was is there any reason that this box shouldn't perform well?

Anyone think that this box will sound like crap?

the reason I was trying for this design is because the box is 15.75 X 15.75 so it would allow me to turn or filp the box. So I could basically do sub back, sub up or sub forward with the port on either the drivers or passenger side. To see which way would sound best in this very weird trunk

Yeah I know what you mean, I've already tried different boxes with 2 12s and then a single 18 in place of the rear seat. But I didn't like the way that either of them sounded... So now I guess I'll try the trunk in all its sealed, fuel tank filled crappyness

I do have another option... I could run 2 6" aero ports going to the rear deck and face the Subs forward... Remove the factory subwoofer and enlarge the hole for the air / sound from the Subs cone to get though into the cabin. Then remove the factory 6.5s for the aero ports... Then basically...

It'll be going into the tire well about 8"... So you are correct it would have to stick up about 2 " from the top of the box

An 8" aero port only need to be 16.4" to tune to 35hz... If I run it port up it will be flush with the top of the box with the port fully internal leading into the Spare tire well where it will have at least 8" from the bottom of the box
