hey i think what they meant with about ur box is that the chambers are not the right size. each sub has its own size of box recommended which should be in the manual or check rockfordfosgate.com. im not sure of how much of a difference this will make, unless the box is way off the size...

the fuse holder melted becuz it was mounted or touching something hot, u see heat (like from an engine) gets really hot sometimes and can melt plastic or such things. yes u should get a new one, not sure where u can get just a fuse holder but it shouldnt be more than a few bucks.
