This is about the Audio Controls LC2i Line Out Convertor

It could be alright periodically, but if it remains like that on a consistent basis (bass heavy music) your subwoofer’s voice coils will begin to overheat and eventually cause the coil to fail. Clipping is clipping.

Got some new sundown amps to power 4 hutchinson 12's 🙂

There’s no question that that setup wouldn’t bump like hell. Those SALT amps are killer. If the new Origin subs are as good as the ETA subs were, your neighborhood will definitely hear you.

Sundown Audio SFB-1000 on 2 Rogue Audio 8's

I’ve had real success using the SFB-1000 in a couple installs. I like the SFB amplifiers because they can produce huge power for their size due to the full-bridge topology. In layman’s terms, full-bridge is kinda like having 2 half-bridge amplifiers strapped together, but on one PCB board. This...

Sundown Audio SFB-8000D or Viking 8K

I’d stick with the SFB-8000d. Just because D4S and Sundown really do stick behind their product. I have never had an issue with D4S or Sundown if I had an issue. I had my SAM-500.1 issues taken care of immediately. Banda stuff is pretty decent, but from my experience, the SFB is more reliable...

Old mans new system, to many lithium options.

With a 500 amp alternator, you should be able to sneak by with a single JY HP-40. I think with a dual 350 amp setup a single HP-40 is good to support around 14K watts. Even stand-alone the HP-40 will support over 5k watts. I think you’d be good with one.

    Sundown SA-8

Does anyone know if the Sundown SA-8 can really handle 500 WRMS? I’ve been looking at one here, but not sure if I believe an 8” sub can handle that?

    Sundown Audio Zv6 - Looks like a Zv5 But its a ZV6

What’s the main difference between the Zv5 and the Zv6? Just the coil?

    Has anyone used IA amps?

In my opinion, you can’t go wrong with IA. Their monoblocks are no joke, so I don’t see a reason why the multi channels wouldn’t be the same way.

    OFC wire is getting THICC.

That definitely looks like some beefy 2/0 OFC. I bought my 1/0 from here as well. https://www.down4soundshop.com/down4sound-0g-ofc-tinned-wire-clear-by-the-foot/ In all honesty, its legit!

    System Advice

I bought 1/0 OFC for power and grounds. I got myself 50Ft of it. I also bought OFC speaker wire to install as well. A lot of people have been telling me to go Sundown, but I've also got some recommendations on Crescendo and DC Audio. When I looked at the Sundown possibilities, I was leaning...

    System Advice

I did sound deadening throughout after I purchased the Foz. I installed an aftermarket exhaust and the drone was pretty bad, so I had to do deadening.

    System Advice

I already have a new 250 amp alternator. It's the biggest I could get for my car. I did sound deadening already just because I have a louder aftermarket exhaust. I plan on installing a DSP, and tuning thing, but just don't want to waste my money on a brand that will still sound like trash even...

    System Advice

My budget is probably around $6k. It’s going to go in a 14 Forester. I’m looking for a good mix of SQ and SPL. I want to be able to hear the music nice and clear, but I also want it to get down.
