question about truck box design idea

You could port to the passenger side, slot port or whatever and use the current port space under the center seat as part of the box. That wAy the only change to the design would be the actual port opening, no changes at all to shape or dimensions.

Need box designs for '98 dakota.

I'm new here too so I probably should not be making many suggestions but I think it goes without saying that if you put up some measurements of your space, specs of the sub, brand and model at least so someone who might be able to help you could look up the specs for building a box, you might...

Sundown E8 sealed box for single cab truck

I'm in the process of putting two E8's behind the seats in my single cab truck. I"m doing a 1.2 cu^f box ported and I think I have less space than you and I'm fitting the box, 3 good sized amps and 4 xovers. according to sundown's website they only need 0.28 sealed. do you have winISD or BassBox...

    Sundown E8 box build advice

thanks for your help. I will change the design to port on the passenger side with both subs next to each other right below the port on the passenger side. why do you suggest 35hz vs 30? how will that effect the sound quality and output characteristics? Sundown's website says that ported to...

    Sundown E8 box build advice

I'm building a box for two sundown E8's to go behind my single cab truck seats. I've used WinISD to get the necessary tuning specs but I still am a little confused about slot port correction factors. I've read to add half the height of the port to the length and I've read to add half the width...

I was thinking about doing fiberglass door enclosures for my upcoming sr6500 install

the guys over at polk audio forums said that these speakers do better in free air, just a nicely deadened door, midbass sounds better, however they do like to be on axis, that makes the mids really shine. tweets like to be on axis as well. I'm going to install them on axis with the opposite head...

I was thinking about doing fiberglass door enclosures for my upcoming sr6500 install

Hm, interesting idea, I would just have to find the right volume container or put a couple together to make a shape that would fit while providing enough volume.

I was thinking about doing fiberglass door enclosures for my upcoming sr6500 install

I was thinking about doing fiberglass door enclosures for my upcoming sr6500 install instead of sealing the entire door. has anyone done this, would I still have to use sound deadening on the door, how would they sound compared simply being installed in a nicely sealed door? I'm thinking around...
