i'm getting a new head unit and i was looking at old threads and they say you should get a clean head unit that it won't sound like crap when you amplify it so is it better to have a higher signal-to-noise ratio than a smaller one like they provide on crutchfield? or what are your opinions on...

i was going to build a bandpass box for my jetta but after some advice and thought i might go vented so if anyone else has built a box for a jetta i would like some input i have 2 15" kicker solos and a 1000 watt kicker amp and want to get a clear bass sound

its a 1000 watt kicker amp w/ 2 15 kicker solo's so probably the thicker plexi

my friend had the same subs and amp hooked up in a banpass box in his accord and it slammed and looked tight so i was wanting to recreate it
