    Infinity Comps comparison.

I've seen their Primus lineup (No longer sold in mainstream outlets). When compared to the referetence set, it seems like the only thing different is the lack of a tweeter attenuation option on the crossover. The materials seem to be the same, and myabe different sized tweeters. Does anyone know...

$100 new...what's the best bang for the buck for my gf's car.

You decided on one yet? I don't know about you, but my in my experience chicks are pretty finicky about ease of use.

have any of u seen this stupid $6900 32" sub/ talk about over kill and priced

Yes, true, the same hatchback could probably accomodate 32 clowns as well. I was just speaking from a somewhat practical point of view.

The Clarion srw8000 from the 90's is probably the most decent attempt at such a ridiculous endeavor. Any 32" would at minimum need the interior space of an MB sprinter or a UPS truck IHMO.

    Speaker level input - 8v vs 4v

Yeah, I remember Eclipse in the late 90's made 8V units. They even made one with Freakin 16 volts!!! Seems like you could charge the car battery with the RCAs.

    amp wiring layout question

I totally forgot about this one, but if you really wanted to go BALL$ OUT, you could take your single preamp outs, and feed them into an active equalizer or crossover unit, (in-dash or hideaway) which would multiply all the RCA connections for front, rear, and sub. then you would have infinite...

$100 new...what's the best bang for the buck for my gf's car.

Until very recently, I've been with Clarion for almost 16 years. Overall I'm in favor of the simple faceplate layout. There was a year like 2004 and 2005 where the faceplates looked like garbage... but I think they learned from it. I think the current CZ305 looks pretty nice, and it has...

Thrifty sub faceoff: PPI SN.10 vs. JBL power P-1000

Maybe I meant to say "sound better" instead of "hit harder". I realize a bigger ported box would be optimal, but both my cars are daily drivers...so trunk space is at a premium... thanks for the sensible replies.

Well you're certainly a big help, aren't you?

Thrifty sub faceoff: PPI SN.10 vs. JBL power P-1000

Staying very conservative on this one. ~ 200 w rms.

Thrifty sub faceoff: PPI SN.10 vs. JBL power P-1000

In a sealed .75 cu ft box, which would hit harder?

best budget 4 ch SQ amp recommendations

When I really think about it, I don't even know how long my hearing will last. Since I am clinically ADHD, I tend to listen more to classical symphony tunes in gridlock traffic to keep me from road rage. This and FIRST TAKE on ESPN satellite radio. So, in reality, maybe the amp I'm looking for...

Oh, I didn't know you had some you were trying to sell. My mistake. I'd certainly entertain the idea if the price is right. Tell me what you have. On second thought, the visual appeal of using two separate amps is a little intriguing, and makes it look like a more detailed install.

That doesn't make a whole lotta sense to me. Although I can understand it if you're stuck with front vs. rear speakers having different power tolerances, or you wanted your front stage to outshine the rears. It just seems like an additional power/ground/remote wiring BS hassle to do all that...

ok, I totally understand your point of view. It seems to me that you might be making a living out of car audio competitions, or at the very least a side income. Maybe I just don't have the piles of $$$$ to burn through like you. Thanks for the constructive input. When you say Zapco ST, are you...
