Yea mystery roll. i know its butyl because it says self adhesive butyl on it. the plastic is brown. any one might know what this is.

my over all assumption was it was free and deadener works by adding mass to the panel so the butyl would add mass. it had like a thick plastic in place of foil.

ive acquired a large roll of Butyl roofing roll. one side is sticky other is like a plastic. does this matter. or will it still work as a deadener. i just want to do my trunk floor and well this was free.

i got a 3 4 gauge wire kits for $100. and 4 door speaker dynamat kits for $48
