i sold this system i had to a friend (3 10'' jl audio w6) with the amp, and now when you turn the system on 1 volume, it buzzes and is really annoying. I tried to mess with the amp and it did no good... what should i do to try and fix it?
i have 3 Jl audio w6 10's in a box, wired to 3.7-3.8ohms. I have a MTX 942 amp bridged running to the subs. I have an Alpine CDA-7894 deck. The EQ on the amp is about 3/4 of the way up and the deck's sub preout needs to be on +10 out of +15 to get sound out of the subs. Any one have an idea what...
i am sure it is the amp. i hooked my RF 600a5 (50X4 + 200X1) up to the subs which are 3 10'' w6) and it they work fine. They are wired for a 4 ohm load, which should be fine for the amp.
i bought an mtx amp and installed it today. it worked for about an hour. the subs it was powereing were 10 W6 DVC subs. i am not sure if they are the 6 ohm or 12 ohm model. i was told they were set up for 4 ohm load. could the amp have fried? I did bridge it when it was connected and it sounded...
a friend of mine just got a box with 3 JL AUDIO 10in W6 subs in it. it is a ported box and wired down to 4ohms. What kind of amp should he run? How much over RMS can the speakers handle? Thanks
i just bought an Thunder 801d, which doesnt have enough power to push all 3 subs at 4ohms. Which would be better? Old school Rockford Fosgate 800a2 or a New Thunder 942D? Thanks
