put a digital ohm meter to it.....

NO they are DVC 6 ohm. But if they are wired in parallel of in other words both positive of each VC and both negative VC are hooked up its 3 ohms, if it wired in series which is one pos. and one neg. from seperate VC's then it would be 12 ohms, it can never be 6 ohms unless you run only power to 1 of the 2 VC's.
