    Need some general help...

It won't be a resistor it will be a cap. I don't know what size to try. Go to you local stereo shop, they should be able to tell you what size to put in line on the positive lead at the speaker. Your going to want to get rid of the freq. below 75hz. I would try around that first. It will be...

    Need some general help...

Glad that you have the speakers sealed. As for x-overs, if you think you need more power then I would go with a nice amp that has a x-over built into it. You should notice a big defference when you add that. For the factory tweeters, when you add the amp it is not going to take enough power...

    System Help

Never heard of that brand. You can get some JL's for about the same price. You don't need to have that high of a watt ratting to sound good, or to get loud.

    problem

How are the subs wired. series or parallel? The amp may be seeing to low of a ohm load. remember when you bridge a 2ch amp to 1ch the amp see's half of the measured ohm's. IF the measured ohm's is 2ohm the amp sees 1 ohm. That is two low for most amps. That could be why the amp is blowing...

    Need some general help...

Sounds like you have a good start with the system. The boston's require more power to sound good. That is why you need to turn up the vol. The are also rated to take more power. It is better to give them more than there rated power than to give them to little. With little power you need to...

    need help choosing a system

If I remember right you have a lot of room under the seat. I have built a box for two 10's under the seat fireing upwards. You will need a good amp around 400-500 watts 4ch. Bridge two ch's to the subs. Make sure the subs are 8ohm or duel 4ohm so you can get the right ohm load on the amp...

    1996 Chevy Blazer install problem

On a 96 it would be a lot of work to do, but you can do it. Anything is possible if you want it bad enough. You would have to make a mounting kit for the controls and the radio. If you moved it to the center console you would have to extend all the wires and air lines to do it. Just do one...

Exd Cab S10 That Hits 140.0

Hitting 140's. Not to bad. Keep up the good work. I built a 2000 s-10 extreme extended cab with 3 12W-6's in a ported box with 3 earthquake D2's. One on each sub. It took 9th at the world finals. Hitting 159.2. Nobody could touch it in AZ or sothern cal. Keep up the good work. :)

    overheating amp

IT sounds like you have a prolbem with the ohm load going to the amp. You said you had two subs wired in mono. If they are 4ohm subs that means you have a 2ohm load at the amp. If you have a 2ch amp bridged into mono then your amp would see half of 2ohms. That means you are down to 1ohm. I...
