    Amp not outputting enough voltage

I fixed it! Ground was fine, I even ran the ground directly to the battery and the problem persisted. Evidently, my amp doesn't like my head unit's LPF, or the LPF on the head unit is poor. I turned off the head unit LPF (which was set at 80hz) and set it to 80hz on the amp and it works perfectly!

    Amp not outputting enough voltage

Good to know, thank you...should I use the remote wire or the knob on the amp? I'm wondering if this is a Hifonics thing. But why then would the output voltage decrease once it passes ~23v?

With car off. I can check running voltage tomorrow.

    Amp not outputting enough voltage

Could the power and ground wire be the issue? Both are 4 gauge, and speakers and subs are total 1,240 RMS.

    Amp not outputting enough voltage

Any ideas what it could be then?

    Amp not outputting enough voltage

Might it be the head unit pre-out is too low? It's 2.5v.

    Amp not outputting enough voltage

Looks like my speaker amp isn't outputting enough voltage either. Could it be a grounding issue?? Although my battery reads 12.54V, which is identical to the voltage at the amps.

    Amp not outputting enough voltage

50hz. Update: I turned the subwoofer output to +15, and now when I read the output voltage it will go up to ~23v at about 2/3 gain, but if I turn the gain up beyond that the voltage output DECREASES...

    Amp not outputting enough voltage

Hello, I am running into problems with my amp not outputting enough voltage. I installed this setup, with the subwoofers wired in parallel, for an impedance of 1 ohm. 2 x Pioneer TS-W3003D4 12" Subwoofers + 1000W Hifonics X1000.1D Amp. I verified that the impedance is 1 ohm by using a DMM...

    Which setup to buy?

Hello all, I am looking to upgrade my current subs and sub amp, on a budget. However, I can not decide between two setups... SETUP 1: 2 x Pioneer TS-W3003D4 12" Subwoofers + 1000W Hifonics X1000.1D Amp Which contains 2x Pioneer TS-W3003D4 12" Champion Pro Series 2000W Subwoofer And 1x...
