    good led strips?

Ah failsauce....I should comprehend what I read. Here's a link to the not as bright strip...though it is a little short: Buy Alpena FLEXLED 36" GREEN 77504 at Advance Auto Parts It's not as bright as the first one I posted plus it's almost 38"! I used two 5" strips in my trunk (in red) and they...

    good led strips?

I'm looking for them now but Advanced Auto sells some super bright LED strips that have a really tough adhesive backing. You can probably find something similar if you look around. I'm pretty sure this is it but I can't be 100% positive without a picture: Buy Alpena MAXLED 24" GREEN 77704 at...

    My latest box build

I like Harbor Freight. Me and my buddy got a 6.5 hp engine for a go kart from there for like $80...they have some pretty cheap stuff there. Haha I also dig the box!

    Wiring Questons

Might as well throw in another question while I'm at it.... If I plan on running the subs at 400W RMS do I need to supply the circuit with 800W? Or is this dependent on which way I wire the subs? Physics class is coming back to haunt me....

Anyone have any ideas? I get the subs tomorrow and I'd rather not experiment with a potentially dangerous setup!

    Wiring Questons

Thanks for replying! I know that the amp will see a 4 ohm load either way, but JL's wiring guide that has been linked to on here has mentioned to not link DVC sub drivers in series...I dunno why.

    Wiring Questons

I'm getting two DVC subs that are 4 ohms per coil. I'm looking to achieve a 4 ohm load overall between the two subs. Would it be better to: 1. Wire the voice coils in series to get 8 ohms per sub, then wire the subs in parallel to drop the load to 4 ohms? 2. Or wire the voice coils in parallel...

    Three-way Sub Comparison

Yeah hopefully, as for my install being nice...well I didn't wanna mention too much of it because I have to do it on the cheap, so for right now just ignore it. I'm defiantly not planning on doing any competitions or anything. Also this is deffinatly getting horribly off topic at this point...

    Three-way Sub Comparison

The manual says 230watt rms 4 ohms x 2.... but thats in two channel mode not bridged.

Hahahaha, this is either a good thing or a bad thing. :P

    Three-way Sub Comparison

The amp in question is a Boss Phantom PH2.600 amp. 2 channels bridgeable. Amazon.com: Boss PH2.600 Phantom Series 1200 Watts 2 Channels MOSFET Car Amplifier with Remote: Car Electronics As for the box, I already have a Q-logic dual 12" sub box I got for $20. It barely takes up half my trunk.

    Three-way Sub Comparison

The only "underground" sub companies I've looked at would be Obsidian and Digital Designs. My amp is 1200 watt (peak) at 4 ohms. I'm looking at 12" subs in the sealed enclosure. I have a pontiac grand prix gt.

    Three-way Sub Comparison

Hey everyone, new to the forums. Before I go any further I tried to do as much research on the subs before posting this, and all the reviews I read came out positive. Regardless I'm looking for a DVC sub for around $150. I have these three in mind: 1. Alpine SWR-1243D 2. Kicker Solo Classic...
