It's going to be running off an iPod, so basically speakers, amp ($21 for the Lepai), Cabinet ($16 for the ammo can), give or take $5 for misc parts. What do you guys think of these speakers? Currently on sale at PartsExpress: Aura 4000RPM 4" 2-way Coaxial Speaker Pair 269-178

Do you happen to know any other sites besides Parts express and Madison Sound for TB speakers? They seem to have a lot of models on their site but they're nowhere to be found.

I'm just putting in consideration what they're used for, their location, grill design, material used, etc. I was recommended Vifa speakers over at DIYaudio but they also mentioned using heavy duty speaker cloth since there is no dust screen for the VC. Also, I kinda figured if it isn't made out...

Yeah...I'm getting that from a lot of people over at DIYAudio. Anything decent home speakers are out of my range and any in my range wouldn't hold up to the abuse.

Nice! I think I've narrowed it down to the Kicker DS40 vs. Pioneer TS-A1072R just looking at the frequency ranges and price. Anyway to know which set will last longer on a single charge?

Probably a stupid question but hopefully i dont have to pay $40 bucks for return shipping. So i FINALLY got the Mach 5 IXL SL 10" 1ohm DVC in the mail and decided to test them with my multimeter. They read ~2ohm per voice coil. Is this right?
